What is Microdent®?
MICRODENT®’s scientific description is a “melt emulsion of Polydimethylsiloxane in Poloxamer 407”. It combines the power of a good oral cleanser (surfactant) with a protective coating agent which both humans and pets find pleasant during and after use.
Why no green stuff?
The FDA, which regulates claims on oral care ingredients, does not recognize chlorophyll, parsley, mints or other masking ingredients as either cleaners or as ingredients that effectively fight bad breath or its root causes. Oral cleaners, protective coating agents and calculus (tartar) reducing ingredients combined with physical action to remove plaque and debris are recognized as effective oral care ingredients. Only Regimen™ Dental Chews contain all three approved ingredients so there is no need to add ingredients which do not work.
